We purchased Poseidon for his excellent genetics on both sides. His sire is the famous Accoyo male, Surilana Icalon and he has Amador on his dam’s side. Poseidon was 2007 VCR Suri of the Year. He is a proud upstanding male with a dense, uniform fleece and independent, lustrous locking. At his first shearing he cut a massive 8.5kgs of fleece. At first shearing his fleece statistics were: 22.7 micron, 19.8% (CV) with a comfort factor of 94.7. 

Poseidon's progeny are achieving well in the showring - Tarahill Fatina Silk (ET) was awarded 1st place in her class and Reserve Adult Female at the 2011 Royal Melbourne Show, Tarahill Fallyn (ET) achieved 3rd place in the competitive Junior White Male Class at the 2010 Royal Melbourne Show and was awarded Junior Male Champion at the 2010 Sale Agricultural Show.  Tarahill Florian (ET) was awarded Champion Junior male at Berwick Show and Reserve Intermediate Male at Lardner Show. He has been certified for stud work.

Tarahill Estella Silk, Tarahill Fatina Silk (ET), Tarahill Frey (ET) and Tarahill Fionnbar have all been awarded one more Reserve Championships.

Tarahill Falkor, one of Poseidon's youngest progeny came first in the Junior Fawn Male class at 2011 Colourbrations and the 2011 Royal Melbourne Show.  He also was awarded the Best Light Fawn Male at the Royal Melbourne Show.

Poseidon is stamping his mark on his cria and was awarded 1st in the Sire's Progeny at Sale Show.
